Hobo with golden studs : Deux Lux Colby

I was never really big on the hobo styled bags, mainly because as wonderful it is that it could hold everything, it's very easy to lose the already-relaxed posture, and I like my bags to maintain certain structure. Since my old Roxy hobo bag from high school days, I've never owned a large hobo bag til a month ago when I spotted this beauty.

It wasn't love at first sight, but I was simply intrigued by the golden studs and loved the gray canvas behind it. I'm oddly picky about the kind of studs, and these weren't the spiked up pointies that might pull the threads of my beloved sweaters, but honeycomb hexagons that gave the bag just the right amount of sparkle and golden warmth. Being more of a silver gal, I usually stay away from strong gold/black combos, but the cool toned gray appeared to be a perfect match with just the right amount of edge and fun. The bag is roomy and the material of the bag is very thick and solid, which is why it doesn't become too slouchy. Even if I just have a lightweight book inside, the form of the bag is maintained. 

I think I'll be on the look out for another one of these hobo/tote style bags on Black Friday.

Suede flats with a splash of fun : Dolce Vita Oakes

The obsession began when I first spotted these Dolce Vita loafers in the color nude at Anthropologie site awhile back. I was looking for flats that were tan/nude toned, but since I wasn't huge on ballet flats (they just look a bit off on me), I was leaning more towards loafers or slip-ons. I liked the pattern/print on it and  the color scheme felt so fun, girly, and somehow preppy and bohemian at the same time. I'm a bit picky about flats, partly because depending on the coverage, your whole body proportion could appear different for some reason (Well maybe it's just my weird body proportions..). But I bumped into them again and managed to track it down on Amazon when it went on sale. The sizing was a bit off, but after listening to reviews and half sizing up, I felt that it will be my perfect go-to fall flats this year. Even though the pattern and the colors may appear a bit too busy, the lightly tanned suede makes them quite neutral which makes it a versatile piece to any wardrobe. On-the-go Cardholder : Lodis

I've been looking for a light, compact, and good-quality cardcase that would fit into my beloved crossbody bags for some time now, and have found the perrrfect one. 

I dislike carrying a lot of things in my bag, so naturally I prefer the smaller shoulder bags that could turn into crossbody bags (or vice-versa), which could only carry so much items. After many weeks of "do I really need this" conversation with myself, I decided to purchase the Lodis cardholder from Nordstroms. Here's why I love this cardholder so much:

- Leather (feels soft and sturdy at the same time)
- The boxy form is maintained even without any cards inside 
- Fits about 8-10 cards (8: very comfortably, 10: stiffens out a bit, but still manageable)
- Love the color red and black 
- Could fit into any bags, clutches, pockets due to the small size

The downside in using the card case regularly is that there is no space for nicely organized compartments for cash/coins/receipts that fold-over wallets provide. But that's just the price for having a compact case exclusively for cards. I usually like to store my coins in a container at home and exchange for cash or use it for laundry, so most days it's just me and my credit cards on the road. 

The price is a bit hefty for what I would normally spend on a card case (35$), but I'm pretty sure it will last a long time. I'm even thinking about purchasing the black one!
